Rep. Pryor Gibson, who co-sponsored the Wadesboro Christmas Parade, was riding in style in the N.C. Department of Agriculture's Big Cart.
The annual nighttime Wadesboro Christmas parade was held Thursday, Dec. 2, in uptown Wadesboro and featured numerous floats, vehicles and even doggies all lit up in holiday lights.

State lawmakers Sen. Bill Purcell and Rep. Pryor Gibson sponsored the parade. Gibson rode the parade route inside the N.C. Department of Agriculture's Big Cart, a 13-foot-tall by 15-foot-long shopping cart with a Chevrolet 396 V-8 engine.

Santa also made his grand entrance, in a horsedrawn carriage, and was available for photos after the parade at the Anson County Partnership for Children. Children who visited Santa Thursday night also received a free book from the Partnership for Children.
