Ruby Simpson Moore, 75, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at her home.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, in Ansonville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Glenn and Rev. Bill Whitlow officiating. Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery.

The family greeted friends Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro and other times at the home.

Ruby was born July 5, 1935 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Monroe Talmadge and Mattie Virginia Ponds Simpson. She was retired from Wade Manufacturing and was a faithful member of Ansonville Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Buck Moore and Frances Burris, both of Ansonville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brother and sister, Monroe Simpson Jr. and Betty Pate, both of Ansonville.

Her husband, Robert J. “Bobby” Moore, her daughter-in-law, Alice Moore, and an infant sister preceded her in death.
