The Wadesboro Police Department arrested three suspects on June 3 after serving a search warrant at 100 Settle St., Wadesboro. Anson County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested three individuals on charges stemming two separate robberies that occurred in the Morven area over the past two months. The N.C. Senate passed a proposed budget Thursday that would eliminate class size limits in grades K-3 in public schools, and would also put several programs under governor or state government control. Anson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a drowning death at the Pee Dee River near Lilesville Monday evening. The victim was identified as Matthew Callahan, 26, of Rockingham.
