After just four of the scheduled six clues were published in The Anson Record, David Hanna of Wadesboro found the Golden Egg Wednesday. As the one to find the egg first, Hanna will receive a $250 check.
The fourth clue read: “You’re headed south, It’s quite a drive over hills and into valleys. But stay off course and you will find more Gold than you’ll find at Bally’s.”
Hanna found the Golden Egg at the entrance to Twin Valley Country Club. Hanna said the egg was hidden in the bushes near the brick columns marking the country club’s entrance. “I looked last week for about 10 minutes and today for about 20 minutes,” he said.
As for his $250 prize, Hanna said he has no special plans, other than to put the money in the bank and try to save as much as possible.
The Golden Egg Hunt is sponsored by Basic Finance, Inc., TCH, Brasington’s, Inc., Selectronics, Kim’s Kreations Florist and Badcock Furniture.
