Anson New Tech’s Robo Wolves went to Raleigh March 13-16 to compete with schools across the country in the Robotics Competition. This year the students had to build a robot able to either throw a Frisbee or dump Frisbees and also climb a pyramid structure. The Robo Wolves were able to build a robot that could dump the Frisbees into a designated area that would allow them to score points during a match. In robotics, a match consists of robots teaming up with each other against another team to see who can score more Frisbees and who’s robot is the better climber.
The final competition for Anson New Tech students was March 16. The students that went to the competition were Brooke Hildreth, Cameron Ingram, Roldan Biete, Cynthia Wiersum, Ciara Melton, Morgan, Endia, Dieago, Dylan.
The students that competed were seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. The team came in 38th place out of 54 teams. The team met a lot of interesting people including a group who came all the way to the U.S. from the Netherlands.
