More than 60 floats, bands, cars, motorcycles and cuddly mascots paraded through uptown Wadesboro’s streets late Friday afternoon as part of the annual Anson High School Homecoming Parade.

Grand Marshal John Jennings Dunlap III, president of the Anson County Historical Society, led the entries, which included Sparky the Fire Dog, the Anson High School Marching Band, Smokey the Bear and many others all decked out in Bearcat spirit.

The parade preceded the Homecoming game, which was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at AHS Stadium.
