Morven’s annual downtown festival, October Fest, is planned for this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in Morven.
There will be various vendors selling food and novelties, information booths, live entertainment, a car show, parade and lots of fun.
Those interested can still enter the parade, up until Thursday, organizers say.
There are 45 entries in the parade so far, including Morven Mayor Houston Pratt, the Morven Town Council, Anson County Board of Commissioners, Anson County Sheriff, mayors from other local towns like Ansonville, Lilesville, McFarlan and Polkton, churches, fire departments, HOLLA! and many more.
