MONROE — Maureen Frances De Vitto, 69, died Oct. 2, 2012 at her home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family will greet friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Interment will be in West Point, N.Y., at a later time.
De Vitto was born Nov. 1, 1942 in Staten Island, N.Y., a daughter of the late Gerard and Anita McGann. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John De Vitto of the home; a daughter, Jean De Vitto of Asbury Park, N.J., and her partner, Beverly Morey; a daughter, Debra Dunbar, her husband Sean, and their children, Julia and James of Fairfax, Va.; a son, John De Vitto, his wife, Tammy, and their children, Evan, Ryan, and Hope of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Katie O’Connor, her husband, Colin, and their children, Delaney and Brogan of Winterville; a daughter, Amy English, and her husband, Mike of Vienna, Va.; and a son, Michael De Vitto, and his wife, Nicole of Charleston, S.C.
Also surviving are her brothers, Kevin McGann, and his wife, Lynne of Arlington Heights, Mass.; David McGann, and his wife, Louise, and their children, Matthew and Christopher of Albany, N.Y.; her sister, Kathy Cajigas and her son, David of Bradenton, Fla.; and her sister-in-law, Sr. Regina De Vitto, CND, of Chicago.
