Four men and a juvenile are in custody after allegedly stealing three televisions.

Kevin Brown of Wadesboro was arrested and charged with one felony count of breaking and entering, one felony count of larceny after breaking and entering, misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and felony conspiracy on Sept. 27, according to Wadesboro Police Chief Janie Schutz. He is being held in the Anson County Jail on a $10,000 secured bond.

Brown allegedly drove the other four suspects to a home on Sept. 26, where they stole the televisions.

The other four suspects face the same charges, minus the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The other suspects are Cedric Wall, 17, of Ansonville, Demetrius Campbell, 16, Ervin Blakely, 16, and a 13-year old, all of Wadesboro. The four were arrested Sept. 26.

Authorities have enough information to know the same group has broken into several homes, Chief Schutz said.

She praised the quick action of Sgt. Tommy Jarmin in helping solve the case.

The teens were found the same day, brought in and questioned. Confessions were given.

While one television was recovered, there were other stolen items, Schutz said.

"In my opinion, he solicited these young people to go into various houses," she said. She added she believes other adults are involved in the case.

"It's heartbreaking to me to see them fall into this trap," she said.
