POLKTON — Elizabeth Jean Beachum Freeman, 77, died Nov. 30, 2012 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.

Services were held Sunday by the graveside in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Freeman was born July 30, 1935 in Harnett County, a daughter of the late Fisher Martin Beachum and Mamie Davis Beachum. She was retired from Big Lots as a sales clerk.

Surviving are her daughters, Nicole Dickey of Olathe, Kan., and Kristi Morgan of Peggs, Okla.; her brothers and sisters, Herman Beachum of Chesapeake, Va., Haywood Beachum of Glennville, Ga., Vivian Nance of Albemarle and Margie Drye of Polkton; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Alice Cox, 12509 Hwy. 742 North, Polkton, NC 28135.
