Blondell Autrell Days Polk, 78, of Peachland, died July 17, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe.

Funeral services were held at noon July 22 at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville with the Rev. Louis Blakeney presiding. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Polk was born July 23, 1933 in Richland County, South Carolina to the late Zack and Eloise Kelly Days. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in South Carolina

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Joe Frank Polk of the home; two sons, Thomas Eugene Days (Maxine) of South Carolina and Michael A. Polk of the home; five daughters, Carolyn E. Brown and Mildred F. Brazzle, both of Charlotte, Ella Dean Wider of South Carolina, Sherry D. Brazzle of Wadesboro and Barbara Ann Johnson (Johnny) of Marshville; one sister, Mildred Bernice Gladden; step-daughters, Marilyn, Frances and Teresa, all of Charlotte; and stepson Terry of Charlotte.

A public viewing was held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 21 at Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monroe.
