The Anson High School Lady Cats have played tremendous up tempo basketball so far this season. The team record is now 7-1, the one loss coming as an unfortunate forfeit vs CATA.

The Lady Cats participated in the Battle of the Border Tournament, which was held at Forest Hills High School this past weekend. The Lady Cats won their first game on Thursday against Central Pageland with the score of 80-42, which included five players in double digits. On Saturday, the Lady Cats played the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets for the championship. The Lady Cats played a bit sluggish, but ended up winning with the score of 59-39, to claim the Battle of the Border title.

The Lady Cats will be playing in the Chesterfield Tournament on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Chesterfield High School, once again, against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. The Varsity Boys will also participate in the Chesterfield Tournament on Thursday — they will play at 7 p.m. in the evening against Central Pageland.
