Congratulations to the sixth graduating class of Anson County Early College students! ACEC students participated in two ceremonies: South Piedmont Community College and Anson County Schools with 24 graduates overall, nine graduates with their associate degrees.


The first commencement ceremony was held on May 12 at the Union County Agricultural Center in Monroe where faculty, family, and students of ACEC and SPCC united for an afternoon of honor and celebration. The second ceremony was held on June 7: ACEC students joined New Tech, Ombudsman, and Anson High School for high school graduation. ACEC Marshals included Zachary Gardner, Colton Snodgrass, Baonhia Vang, Tracey Brewer, and Amber Morton. The ACEC faculty and staff are bursting with pride for the success and accomplishments of the talented graduating students. Good luck with whatever the future may hold! Congratulations! We are Anson!


ACEC’s 2014 Graduates:


Misty Allen, High School Diploma, will enter the workforce.


Derika Bowers, High School Diploma, will attend South Piedmont Community College.


Kenneth Boggan, High School Diploma, will attend North Carolina Central University.


Desiree Cox, High School Diploma: Honor Graduate, Associate in Arts and Associate in Science Degrees, will attend University of North Carolina at Charlotte; awarded the Alpha Eta Chapter Scholarship from Alpha Pi Chi Sorority.


Tadesha Cox, High School Diploma, plans to enlist in the navy.


Shiffon Crump, Salutatorian, High School Diploma: Honor Graduate, Associate in Arts Degree, will attend Wingate University; awarded the Anson Democratic Party, Anson Women’s League, Farm Bureau, MR Bell Excellence in Achievement, and NAUW scholarships and the Presidential Scholarship from Wingate University.


Rayshun Davis, High School Diploma, will attend North Carolina Central University.


Julie Delcid, High School Diploma, will enter the workforce.


Evan Gardelle, High School Diploma, Associate in Arts Degree, will attend Central Piedmont Community College.


Brittany Hagin, High School Diploma, Associate in Arts Degree, will attend Wingate University; awarded the Academic Merit Scholarship from Wingate University.


Corey Hamilton, High School Diploma, Associate in Arts Degree, will enlist in the National Guard.


Cornelius Hamilton, High School Diploma, Associate in Arts Degree, will enlist in the air force.


Yokairy Henriquez, High School Diploma, will attend Central Piedmont Community College.


Joseph Horton, High School Diploma, will enter the workforce.


Aisha Jabeen, High School Diploma: Honor Graduate, Associate in Arts and Associate in Science Degrees, will attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; awarded the Wadesboro Civitan scholarships.


Timothy Kiker, High School Diploma, will attend Central Piedmont Community College.


Robert Kirby, High School Diploma, will enlist in the marines.


Whitney Livingston, High School Diploma, will attend Richmond Community College.


Austin Morton, High School Diploma, will enter the workforce.


Celeste Morton, Valedictorian, High School Diploma: Honor Graduate, Associate in Arts Degree, will attend Wingate University; awarded the Farm Bureau and Pee Dee Electric scholarships and the Presidential Scholarship from Wingate University.


Terrell Robinson, High School Diploma, will attend Central Piedmont Community College.


Alexandra Welch, High School Diploma, will enter the workforce.


Dana Williams, High School Diploma: Honor Graduate, will attend South Piedmont Community College.
