Lilesville Elementary School students and staff celebrated “Bus Driver Appreciation Week” Feb. 17-21. LES bus drivers were reminded how important they are to the school community and were shown appreciation in many different ways.
The kindergarten classes shared buses made of candy bars, first and second grade classes treated them to biscuits and juice for breakfast, third grade classes gave them cards that looked like school buses with Hershey candy bars inside them, and fourth grade classes gave them class photo gratitude cards with each students’ name on them. The fifth and sixth grade classes made “thank you” cards to accompany boxes of candy.
LES bus drivers are Tarrin Horne, William Horne, Linda Spencer (Monitor), Terrisa Mason, Barbara Melton, Patricia Spencer, Dawn Tillman, and substitute drivers include Tony Johnson, Kutrina Little, Shirley McLendon, Judy Powell, and Jacki Rivers.
