A motorist was arrested after flipping off a deputy and speeding off on Monday morning.
Deputies slowed traffic as they prepared to remove a body from a homicide scene. As they did, William Dunlap, 19, of Wadesboro flipped off Deputy Vance Bennett before speeding off, according to an arrest warrant filed by Bennett.
Dunlap was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was then released on a $1,000 unsecured bond. With an unsecured bond, his bond will become active if he does not show up for court, according to magistrate Misty Harris. His court date is set for Aug. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
