Peachland-Polkton Elementary School celebrated Spirit Week Oct. 7-11.

Each day, students participated in various activities, such as Crazy Sock Day, Class Color Day, Jersey Day, and Hat Day. On Friday, students and staff held “Bearcat Day.” Wearing their Blue and Orange, students entered the gym and participated in a pep rally in anticipation of the Homecoming football game at Anson Senior High School that night.

Steve Lear, guidance counselor, brought in Coach Luke Hyatt, along with football players, cheerleaders and Paws, the mascot, to provide the students with various cheers, football plays, and insight on character traits that one must have to be a football player and be part of a team. To end the pep rally, students and staff dedicated and sang the song, Roar, by Katy Perry, to the coach, players and cheerleaders. Fun was had by ALL!
