Deputies arrived at an Ansonville residence to arrest one person, but ended up arresting two others instead.

The deputies went to a house on Old Highway 52 West in Ansonville last Wednesday to serve an arrest warrant, but were told by two others at the house that the individual had already left, according to Lt. Josh Beam. After receiving permission to search for the suspect, the deputies found a stolen Caterpillar Tractor hidden by brush.

David Leone Horne and Jodi Mauldin were both charged with possession of stolen property. Horne was given a $40,000 secured bond and Mauldin a $2,500 secured bond. Both are due to appear in court on June 16 in the Anson County District Court.

Horne has a criminal record that includes a game law violation, receiving stolen goods, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and more.

He was most recently released from Brown Creek Correctional Institution in 2011 after serving almost five years for consecutive sentences for trafficking Schedule II controlled substances, possession with intent to sell Sch.
