Anson County Partnership for Children held its 10th annual “Visit with Santa” event following the Wadesboro Christmas parade on Dec. 5. More than 100 children waited patiently with their families for a chance to sit on Santa’s lap.
Santa listened as each child shared their Christmas wishes with him. Each child also chose a special winter-themed book from Mrs. Claus’ basket to take home for reading and enjoying during the holidays.
Pictures of children taken during the “Visit with Santa” event are posted on the Anson County Partnership for Children Facebook page. Following the visit, Santa mailed each child a letter from the North Pole. He told them how happy he was to see them at the event and that he was looking forward to coming to their homes with special treats on Christmas Eve.
Anson County Partnership for Children would like to thank Alex Sewell, Wadesboro Town Manager, for collaborating on this family-friendly evening, by offering hot chocolate and caroling in the beautiful Christmas setting on the square.
