A log truck overturned and lost its load late Monday afternoon at the intersection of North Greene Street and Camden Road in uptown Wadesboro.

“The tractor-trailer came around the curve and overturned,” said Wadesboro Police Officer Brandon Smith. “We're not sure what caused it yet.”

When the logs came off the trailer, they rolled into a PT Cruiser that was yielding at the curve. The vehicle's front end was heavily damaged, but Smith said there were no injuries.

The Wadesboro Police Department and Wadesboro Fire Department closed off the section of road while the logs were cleaned up and loaded onto another log truck.
