Three men who were struck by lightning during Wednesday evening’s storm are expected to survive.

The men were standing outside a home in Peachland when lightning struck a pickup truck. Reggie Butler was leaning on the truck and was knocked unconscious and stopped breathing. Two others near him, his son and a friend, were also struck, but were not severely injured, according to WSOCTV.

Butler’s friend was able to administer CPR to Butler until both men were rushed to the hospital. His friend was treated and released. Butler’s son did not require medical treatment, according to WSOC.

Butler was taken to Carolinas Medical Center- Main and was listed in good condition as of Friday evening, according to hospital staff.
