Little superheroes, ghosties, ballerinas, princesses and more flooded the streets of uptown Wadesboro on Saturday morning for the annual fall festival.
Uptown Wadesboro, Inc.’s fall festival included hay rides around town, trick-or-treating at participating uptown businesses, a fortune teller, a cupcake walk, which was a sweetened version of musical chairs, and storytelling on the town square by officers with the Wadesboro Police Department. Along the trick-or-treat route, there were balloon animals, games like “Go Fish” or “Hi-Lo,” along with the usual candies for the costumed children.
A costume contest was also held at noon, awarding youngsters for the best costumes, painted faces and most creative looks for Halloween.
