The North Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking any information that may lead to the arrest of an individual involved in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian in Wadesboro.
Dimetrick Le Val Little, 31, was crossing the road on U.S. 52 North near Anson Middle School at around 4:20 a.m. on Aug. 4, when an unknown vehicle traveling north on U.S. 52 struck him and subsequently fled the scene.
Trooper C.A. Huneycutt is the investigating officer, and the Highway Patrol is also working with the Anson County Sheriff’s Office on the case. Janet Reid at the Monroe office of the Highway Patrol said that so far, there are no leads on the hit-and-run driver’s identity.
“Someone came along the scene and called 911,” Reid said, “but the victim took his last breaths and died at the scene.”
The Highway Patrol asks that anyone with any information on the hit-and-run please contact their Monroe office at 704-283-8101.
