What a Saturday for some great semi-pro football. The Anson M-Pact semi-pro football team took on the Monroe Hurricanes Aug. 10. It was a tackle-blowing game overflowing with lots of good character and dynamic fans. After four exploding quarters, the hometown team Anson M-Pact came out victorious again with a 35-0 win.
Anson M-Pact defense did a great job utilizing their football talents to shut the offense down of the Monroe Hurricanes. Anson M-Pact offense had a tremendous day as well, led by quarterbacks Earl Rorie and Keem Johnson both throwing two touchdowns a piece. Anson M-Pact player Patrick Clark had 12 tackles, five sacks, Sergio ran for two touchdowns, Jackie Polk exploded with eight carries, 123 rushing yards, one touchdown, not to mention a two-point conversion, Calvin McManus received 100 yards plus a touchdown, and Darren Smith with one touchdown.
